INFORMATION FOR SOCIETIES WHO HAVE REQUESTED AN ADJUDICATION
THE ADJUDICATOR FOR THE 2011 FESTIVAL WILL BE:
Alison Mead
1. After the date of your adjudication has been fixed, write direct to the adjudicator, well in advance of the date, regarding the time and place of production, travel, reception and hospitality. He should be met and guided to the hall. A copy of the script of the play should be sent to him at least three weeks in advance. If available, a parking space should be allocated for his use.
2. It will be found helpful to appoint a member of the Committee to take charge of the arrangements for the adjudicator, to see that he has all he needs at the performance, to conduct him onto the stage at the end and to introduce him to the audience. A career resume has been supplied to help with the introduction.
3. The adjudicator should be given a seat from which he can have an uninterrupted view of the stage. Adjudicators should be asked beforehand where they wish to sit and whether they will be bringing a guest with them, in which case an extra seat should be allocated.
4. He should have sufficient room in which to work and, unless he has a table, should be allocated a seat on both sides of him so that he has one on which to place his papers etc. and so that he is not crowded.
5. He requires a table or board on which to write. A table is preferable. If a board is used, it must be reasonably large and provided with clips to secure papers. A supply of scrap paper is also required.
